Hello, I found this by accident while doing some research on a different topic. As is the case for me. I found your posts informative which is highly refreshing. Keep up the great work.
I did it as a second unit / backup for the Navigon 7200T 4th 3-Inch Portable GPS Navigation with Bluetooth, Text-To-Speech and Free Traffic Alerts.
This is my first car 2 GPS handheld devices (the others were OEM units for the dash Infinity G35 Coupe and Acura MDX), so my experience, are new.
Thus, the review is more of a comparison.
WELL
“It is much more tactile and sensitive to touch than the Garmin, which may react with its bells and whistles Booster is slower in an entry. You do not have too much on the screen of Magellan, the press really useful for opening things in motion.
He is very strong, very well. Navigon beats hands down.
The map display is not as crowded as the Navigon. You can also use on and off, which is good zoom, if you want to see more of your environment.
ADB Card screen is not so detailed and beautiful as the Navigon. It’s pretty boring to watch. Let’s face it – this is a very basic model.
There is no text to speech, so many streets and freeways / highways are not pronounced, only general concepts and directions. The Navigon is impressive in the pronunciation of proper names. If you live / travel to places with less common names, or even English names, you will appreciate this feature.
UGLY Research Yup, it’s pretty ugly, not too thin or thin as the Navigon.

PS refurbished model like almost new, no scratches or stains everywhere. You can say that it renewed because the box /. Packaging
This test was only after several days of trying to Magellan did, maybe I will follow soon!

Received: first, it did not work. Amazon immediately sent a replacement in the confidence that I would return the other ship. Received replacement within three days, and it was good! They turned a bad experience possible in a very good condition.

The GPS device works perfectly since the first time, and functions are very intuitive, we need hardly say the instructions. Do not understand (ladies, but it scores with us guys!)
Although the description says the Amazon page: “… with text-to-speech “, it does not really have this feature. It looks very nice, but it will not attempt to express text we give.” What may be a good thing. It shows the name of the nearest street or road highlighted, as it needs the mail lady of all time?
In the country they move to acquire the satellites and starts very quickly. (Much faster than the H-60 Blackhawk, I fly.) We live in a densely wooded, and it takes a few seconds longer, perhaps up to a minute a couple of days.
I am in particular, the display by tapping the compass heading in the upper left corner of the map to get. It produces a screen showing lat-long, distance from major to next waypoint, distance from last waypoint, altitude, ground speed, location (address, city, postal code), highly accurate time and date, and a rudimentary compass heading shows changes as small as 5 or 10 degrees.
audio is strong enough that we do not put in place. Lighting the screen is very good and we like the display function at night.
On a recent trip to foreign soil They helped us find business addresses and residence correctly. We had little time to be saved, so in principle.

This device is a big job for the money and is easy to use, although I wish it could be my computer for excursions and programmed. But for the money, I think it can not be beaten.
