This is a sensible, entry-level GPS and has the features most if not all the features I want.

Most comments focused on this device in detail, I will not repeat too much, but here's my recent experience.

First, Amazon is the price level can fluctuate wildly, so watch for days cheap. I had this question on my list since late 2009 and when I buy the spring of 2010, the price has dropped about $ 40.

I had an eye on them and dived for a day, so I bought then. Since it was still $ 40 so keep in mind.

Some users on the suction windshield complained. If anything, I had problems getting the thing out - it was beautiful. Since I have the CD that the panel mounted, and if the device can no longer young, is appropriate in my view, windshield and located between two of my vents. I am not convinced me 100% but it is certainly in the short time I had installed to stay, he has been stuck with it.

The phone function has been somewhat frustrating. Sometimes, if you want to make a call, you will find the phone and then pushed his buttons and Address Book, nothing seems to happen - you push it again and the next thing you started to self-dial someone one who wanted to call you, because their names to the touch when pressed. When I system to make calls as if they bought the road, I can live with that, but he tried to denounce a certain panic to call a few times.

; you pair the device with an iPhone is relatively easy to understand if some blunders in the matching process and timetable of how you know who needs what when they are actually sent to them.

The most irritating aspect of this is the GPS device with the latest maps. Another analyst noted, you must remove the old card before downloading a new one (because, without an optional SD card, you can see beyond the memory installed.) Them and then I made my machine unusable until it was taken care. TomTom has really put in their quick start guide, or at least the manual.

The best method is to install software on the home page, delete backup device, the US-installed card (which obligation is not updated on time purchase), then do the download / installation of the USA or other card. If the download fails for any reason, and you must try again (if you forget the card) Delete the original, for example having to go through TomTom HOME, go to Tools, then click "Latest Map Guarantee" to handle the kick again. The manual will show you all that I have had for some time, Google it. It seemed to me that I should confuse even provide a free, once the upgrade only, but you can try the same - it simply does not say that in the instructions provided.

Anyway, it seems for local use, this GPS works very well. I'll take with me when I travel and see what happens in other states. The Demo-route function is very useful and allowed me to play with some excursions in a simulation, before attempting the way for real.

I understand some of the frustration vented in other reviews but if you are at least somewhat technically savvy, and persevere, it is a very good camera. This means that the people quite rightly upset that TomTom does not provide it, by simple instructions on how to use this device outside the box.Rating: 4 / 5

I want to buy the new GO 630. IQ Routes TomTom what is best. Its my 2 GPS in 4 years and I had to choose a TomTom Garmin comparable (or) a category-2-brands.

Good: Took a trip driving with friends, more expensive Garmin Nuvi had. IQ Routes have sent us a backup of the great movement, they were chased us not jump to that - regardless of traffic information in real-time. It also has a better job of routing in some other cases, which I attribute potentially IQR too. I also like the presentation of telemetry card better. Based on experience with my parents a high-end nuvi, but SA has a better signal by tall buildings and subways and to recover more tunnels.

Complaints: It tries u will avoid the main roads. This should be a setting that I'm a big boy - I can manage. The text-to-speech engine is really only tolerable. Screw all but the simplest names. It is "San Francisco" bad, with a short O-Ton "Fran-Sisk-ah". He mixes the language and said: "One West" to Highway 101, instead of "oh establish a" clear attempt a bug, plain language instead of "zero-one, 0 for subbing O, but then takes the address translator, Oest like in French. Really confusing. The language in the text works well, but you must learn to say, addresses exactly like way for them or will they not true. That was why I chose the GO 630 on a 340S and I thought it would be easier for me when you're traveling for business if I did not co-pilot to the entry. The frame is manageable. It has the same problem as all other media compact than its proximity to the windshield - which may in some cars a mile of the driver. I can see where the suspension mechanism would annoy some, but you learn to use it properly. But you can not accidentally leave in a car, so it would be better than integrated.

Again, overall it was a good buy and I would buy it again. I would definitely buy a TomTom for a Garmin, based on the interface. And IQ Routes (and potentially MapShare) is a distinct advantage over their competitors. When I traffic information in real time, I just want to buy an antenna RDS - no subscription or activation fees.Rating: 4 / 5

Overall the product worked well. The speakerphone function works well, and they cried, I said that my voice came through very clearly. The user interface is very intuitive. The only thing that I improve on it, is to access the "back" on each screen. If you stand out from what you've worked, you'll again leave the main screen and you return to navigate the menus.

The deal breaker for me was when the Bluetooth stops working after one day. It worked well the first day, but whatever I wanted, she refused to resume work. I deleted all information on the coupling of both GPS and my phone number but he never returned to work. I did some research, ad would appear that some phones are not compatible. I wish I knew that before buying. My phone is a BlackBerry 8830, BTW. I paid extra for Bluetooth, and much as I love the camera, I returned.

Now I'm in the market for other GPS.Rating: 4 / 5

I bought the camera is not advertised on the properties of the base and was quickly disappointed. I Wish Google had produced a GPS device. What are the guys who are current units of thought? What do they want just to build only the client, their inability to realize that it is purposely so they can continue to sell the next generation that only minor improvements over the previous? I was disappointed that Garmin did not seem with its many flaws, and almost two times more expensive price.

Advantages: gel time to time, such as Garmin. Satellite acquisition has been extremely rapid and the signal is strong everywhere. Reactivity touch screen is great. Seems addresses and routes you plan quickly and efficiently. function redirect seems to work better than Garmin. My previous Garmin seemed too many errors in comparison with this and would like to do around and around a target.

Cons: too bulky compared to other units. The windshield is terrible and even the first use is the windshield. Maps are compared with the original Garmin. It seems impossible to delete a previous custom POI / Favorites. Lane assist, not at all or not work in my area. Can anyone tell me why people should pay more and buy this device via TomTom XL340 S with similar features?Rating: 3 / 5

I bought the GPS (Tom Tom Go 630) in about 3 weeks. Used to where I live, before a trip to the West Coast, just getting used to. I have a few inconsistencies, but nothing major. The GPS would have had all the features I wanted, and none of the stuff I do not use it. It's perfect for me.
I am currently on my trip, used for the South Grand Canyon, I had already received, and Grand Canyon West, I've never been. This GPS has never missed a chance to fight. Grand Canyon West is not as well known or commercilized. The right GPS. I now use it to navigate in places known and unknown in San Diego, still right on. A couple of small mistakes, nothing major.
GPS makes quick work of recalculations. The Bluetooth works very well, as all devices in the hands of my experience, it reduces the noise floor.
buys GPS signal quickly, even if you've moved beyond him.
This is my first car GPS, so I have no way to compare the other car GPS, but I find no problems in the menus, or, as the work.
I recommend. To me, that's exactly what I wanted.
I think using a GPS may be different from you. Do your homework to make sure this is the GPS function of your choice.Rating: 5 / 5
