TomTom XL 325 Review
TomTom XL 325 4.3-inch Portable GPS Navigator
If you never have a GPS before, you would not have to memorize various menu options so from this perspective, since this TomTom is absolutely very well-done and navigates as anticipated.

For TomTom XL 325, setup is very easy. You only connect it in and do follow the instructions on the screen. Choose the language you would like to use during setup process (a lot of languages are available). You also have the choice to watch some tutorials on the display screen and you’ll be set to watch nearly instantaneously; just choose navigate and plot your direction. If you connect the GPS navigator to the computer PC or laptops, you can go to the TomTom web-site and download one map update as far as your GPS is within 30 days of purchasing.
Nevertheless, the TomTom web-site is not very smart and it was quite hard to search some information which I really want. My suggestion is to sign up for account first, after that when you can search where to download the suitable TomTom software, then connect your GPS and link it to your account to continue. Also, make certain you click the button on the below right corner of the software previous to disconnect the GPS, otherwise you will get an error message on the screen.
TomTom XL 325 has more useful features than I’m use to but has the identical standard functions as rather much any other GPS brands. The dissimilarity is in where you search the information or the directions. Aso, this TomTom is so dissimilar from the many old Magellan GPS I ever use. Because the TomTom has a few things that bother me. For example, with Magellan I can click one button to search the direction in text format. With the TomTom you have to choose 3 selections to look at the same thing; click once on the road name, then click once on the details button, then click the Browse as text option and now you see the direction in text format. After that when you would like to go back to the map, you choose done twice times. For me this thing is very disappointing since when I’m navigating, I like to go back and forth between the map and the written route. Anyway, I did not give this GPS low rating because of this issue since it’s just my personal satisfaction.
Conclusion
From a specification and option aspect, this TomTom XL 325 has a lot to offer. There are a lot of points of interests (POIs), even it is set up much variously than on many GPS. It has HELP guidance on what to do if your car breaks down and what the regulations of the street are for dissimilar cities. In addition to the these features, you can crate and modify your own maps, zoom in on them, find the gas stations with the lowest fuel prices (in case you subscribe to the TomTom every day fuel price updates), etc. The reason I not gave this TomTom five stars is because it presents too many selections making the system more complicated than essential, the display screen is not as clear as other GPS brand, and some of the basic menu settings are not as good or as easy to get to as they are on other GPS.
